The incidence of colon cancer occurring at earlier ages is on the rise, even appearing in adults as young as 30 years old. That’s why the most important thing you can do to stay healthy is know the signs and monitor yourself often. Symptoms include rectal bleeding, changes in stool consistency that lasts longer than four weeks, persistent abdominal discomfort and a feeling that your bowel is not completely emptying. Several screening tests are available, so talk to your doctor about what may be best based on your family history. Read more >

Renewing You: A Cancer Survivorship Program
Over the course of eight weeks, cancer survivors will learn how to use the nutrition plan of renowned physician Joel Fuhrman, MD, as well as exercise and stress management, to renew all aspects of their health – mind, body and spirit.

Gentle Yoga for Cancer Patients
For cancer patients only, this ancient system of bodywork and healing includes exercise, stretching and breathing to promote awareness and spirituality and calm the psyche. Yoga can lead to healing common physical ailments and improve energy, concentration and emotional well-being. Classes will last for 60 minutes.
