A new technology offered at Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Overlook Hospital allows doctors to treat heart disease patients more quickly and accurately. The Aquilion ONE™ 320-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner is one of the most advanced heart scanners used in the country. It can scan a person’s heart in one heart beat, or approximately one to two seconds, reducing image inaccuracies caused by a patient’s movement or irregular heart rhythm. What’s more, patients who previously could not be imaged with CT angiography can now be scanned using this technology.

More than 120 Overlook Hospital physicians were selected for New Jersey Monthly’s annual Top Doctors issue. To compile the annual list, the magazine commissions an independent survey of New Jersey’s 20,000 physicians asking them to recommend their peers via online and printed questionnaires.

This year, Overlook made a strong showing among the 609 top doctors listed and in many of the survey’s 60 medical categories, including cardiology, gastroenterology and neurology. Find a physician
